I've been slowly getting back to work on CT:CT lately. Just an update to let you know it's not abandoned nor forgotten. =)
I'm going to be heading to Amsterdam in a month-and-a-half (more information about that on my main blog page), and I'll be working on the game piece by piece until then as well as more when I get back!

Hello everyone! I apologize for the absence but I've been engaging in one of my other passions in life; that is, learning languages. I'm currently working on Dutch, and I'm learning quite a lot rather quickly. CT:CT is by no means dropped, but I cycle through my hobbies; I'll get back to working on it soon! =)

The code for movement is finally being polished more. Currently the separate horizontal and vertical movement are dandy, but the diagonal gives a few problems. These shall be fixed soon, however, because I will work more on it. =)

The masking of the overworld maps is going REALly well, and the eighth playable character is getting a huge makeover in terms of its sprites, in a good way. Once this site reaches 1,000 visitors, I will reveal who the NPC-turned-playable character is. =)
As I delve further and further into the programming of this project, I am realizing how to do things much faster than I have before. For that reason along with how fun all of this is to do (I mean, come on, I lOVE Chrono Trigger), this project is feeling very worthwhile.

Made a fantastic bit of progress in figuring out how I want this site. I also added >a page on Frog's speech<. I'll work a little more on sprites tonight before calling it a day.

I'm back to working more on the project after a weekend of meeting forum friends! I'm polishing up the areas more. 1000 A.D. is looking pretty good so far. The era that I will work on after this will likely be 600 A.D. I'm also incredibly pleased with how a cutscene came out. Stay tuned for more!

Yesterday I was able to get the majority of the NPCs in 1000 A.D. ported into the game, so now the customization ability is growing rapidly. Thus far today for the site I have made a logo for the game, widened this site to 950 pixels instead of 800, and changed around some images. Today I'll be focusing on Frog's sprites and a bit more content.

Today is all about getting NPC sprites into the game so they can be used. I've completed a small portion of the areas and rooms from Chrono Trigger and now must add the NPCs as well as their dialogue. This is a fun process, but it is also very time-consuming! =)

I've been heavily focusing on the graphics of CT:CT as of the past few days. The playable areas are filling out nicely and character movement is improving bit by bit. The entirety of Truce and Porre in 1000 A.D. is almost completed.
